The Company is committed to ensuring as far as reasonably practicable the health and safety and welfare at work of its employees. It recognises its health and safety duties under the relevant health and safety legislation and all relevant regulations and codes of practice made under that legislation. The Company is also under a duty to ensure that any people not employed by it are not exposed to risks to their health and safety. This includes subcontractors and visitors to its premises. The Company will only be able to comply with its obligations if its employees understand that they are under a duty to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and any of their colleagues who may be affected by their acts or omissions and that they are required to co-operate with the Company to enable it to perform its obligations.

You are reminded that any failure to comply with any aspect of health and safety procedures, rules or duties whether or not specifically assigned to you, will be regarded by the Company as misconduct and will be dealt with under the disciplinary procedure. Any serious breach of health and safety provisions will amount to an act of gross misconduct for which the appropriate penalty is summary dismissal.
Chris Nuttall is responsible for coordinating all health and safety policy, for ensuring training and technical expertise, and for implementing and monitoring the health and safety policy. If you have an accident, however trivial, this fact should be reported and recorded in the accident book kept on the premises. If you have any concerns about health and safety, these should be addressed to Chris Nuttall.
