Being a remote-first team, it's incredibly important that we get communication right. Meetings have a bad reputation, but if we do it right it can be some of the most productive, high-leverage time we spend. Below is a short list of all standard meetings at FitXR. Some of them are weekly, some monthly. They all have a few things in common:

• We always optimise for output. Don't ever plan a meeting if it doesn't have a purpose. Make sure you know what you want to get out of the meeting.
• If you plan the meeting, you are responsible for the output. If you set up a meeting and invite your teammates, you are responsible for the output. If you set up a 1-hour meeting for 4 people, the cost of the meeting is 4 hours, no 1, so please make sure you have a clear output in mind.
• We always set an agenda and take notes. That we can go back and see what we decided at the meeting and it forces the attendees to focus on the output. Share the meeting notes with other team members if relevant.

Team Meeting (everyone)

Every Monday at 4pm 🇬🇧 time, 30 min, online via Google Meet

The weekly meetings are designed to give high-level updates and announcements to the whole company. They are held via Google Meet and utilise slides and various presenters, and following the meeting all staff are sent a copy of the slides as well as recorded minutes.
