This tutorial is for developers, or anyone interested in contributing to adding ghost data, and will help you correctly set-up your Oculus Quest. It is important to use the same email account across all required areas when setting up the Quest. Please note that this is a 3-part process and will take approximately one hour to complete.

Known Issues

Issue 1: Sometimes the builds do not show up in the Quest’s Library/Not Installed after power off/power on or restart. To get the builds on the Quest you need to:

  1. Open Oculus App on the phone
  2. Go to Store
  3. Search for the project title as it appears in the My Preview Apps on the Oculus website
  4. Tap to install on the Quest
  5. Open Library on Quest & make sure the builds are installing/pending to install

Issue 2: Cannot pair Quest with phone app. If this happens there is no workaround or fix for it. You need a new Quest headset.

Issue 3: If after a factory reset the download is stuck at the last 1% the only way to fix it is by force shut down the Quest and retry pairing it with the phone until the message ‘Finish setup’ pops up under the Quest name.

This issue can be avoided if the setup and pairing are done without interruptions.
