We encourage mobility across the company, we openly post all live roles on our careers page and Hiring Page. We typically publish all live roles internally and externally at the same time, these will be pushed live and made aware via #people-and-culture and #general. Francesca Messa manages our hiring processes and practices.

<aside> 🎯 Ultimately, the end goal of promotion or moving roles is to reward you with a more challenging role in which you can better use newly honed skills, or acquire further skills. Even in a small business, you can still achieve that goal – because “promotion” doesn't need to be synonymous with “management.”

  1. You will need to have passed our probation (also known as check-in) period and be within a performing grade to consider a move. Check with your manager if in doubt about this. While the prospect of moving to a new role might be exciting, it's important to have delivered a meaningful cycle in a role e.g. your core responsibilities over a period of meaningful time.
  2. Have an open discussion with your manager about career goals and the idea of moving now or in the future. Set goals or timelines to work towards.
  3. If you are curious, consider booking in time with the hiring manager to understand more about the role, their team and requirements.

When applying for a role

  1. To apply, follow the careers website link and put in an application. Just because you are an employee does not necessarily mean it will automatically happen, you will go through the normal assessment process and constructive feedback will be provided at all stages.
  2. Should you be successful you will be told asap after your interview and the people team or manager will be in touch.
  3. Should you be unsuccessful this will not change anything regarding your current role. Feedback provided should aid your Personal Development Plan and you will be encouraged to apply for other roles or when a similar role arises.
